The Chamber of Commerce is an organization that relies heavily on committees and volunteers.
Members are encouraged to join one of the Chamber’s committees. In addition to the self-satisfaction of paying back to the community, you will be able to have an input and develop relationships with other members at the same time. Many business relationships start as social friendship. Volunteering for a committee gives you the opportunity to develop valuable long-term personal and business relationships.
On one side, Ambassadors are the welcoming arm of the Chamber and are the first to meet new members and welcome attendees to Chamber events. They help promote the community and the Egyptian American Chamber of Commerce. They welcome & mentor new Chamber members. They serve as the hospitality team at all events and activities as requested. They assist in greeting guests at ribbon-cuttings and other community events. And on a second side, Ambassadors work to expand the membership base, improve retention and increase the activity and involvement level of Chamber members. They review membership policies, communicate membership values, create programs that bring in new members and connect new members to organize their ribbon cutting. This elected group of business professionals provides leadership, organization and fundraising support to promote the overall mission of the Chamber.
